Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specialising in Chemotherapy to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have a thorough understanding of anatomy. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by oncologists.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after treatment.
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and symptom management.
- Educate patients and their families about chemotherapy procedures, side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the clinical setting.
Requirements
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Proven experience in oncology nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
