University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System and located in Towson, Maryland, has an excellent opportunity available for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team.
Job Specifics:
- Seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented NP/PA to work with a team of Pulmonary and Critical Care Providers.
- Applicants must have the ability to diagnose patients and implement a plan of care for acute and chronic health conditions in the intensive care unit.
- Closed Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit with 16 bed MSICU and 6 bed Intermediate Care Unit.
- Rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays, and nights as required to meet 24/7 patient care needs.
- CMS 5 Star Hospital and #1 Community Hospital in Maryland, according to US News and World Report.
Education:
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree: Physician Assistant (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
Certification / Licensure / Registration:
- BLS Certification (Required)
- HCCPA Re-certification exam every six years (Required)
- Registration from Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance (Required)
Experience and Skills:
- 0 - 1 year Physician Assistant (Required)
- 2 - 4 years Physician Assistant (Preferred)
Required Skills: Strong critical care patient management experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as effective written and oral communication skills. Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
