Opportunity for an in-house Speech Language Pathologist to join the rehab department.
Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluate Residents conditions for swallowing and/or cognitive deficits
- Help Residents in their goals to improve Cognition and/or Swallowing
- Education for Residents and Caregivers
- Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
- Maintain Resident confidence & protect facility by keeping information confidential
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
- Contribute to team effort and interdisciplinary approach
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Perform Daily Documentation and Billing
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven working experience as an SLP
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Therapy
- Hands-on experience with computer programs
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice as Speech Language Pathologist
