Speech Therapist/Pathologist - Pediatric

- Schedule: Full Time - Day Shift
The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating medically related disorders of swallowing, language, voice, cognition, and motor-speech, enabling patients to reach their maximum rehabilitative potential. The Speech/Language Pathologist provides care to patients/clients throughout the divisions of LH, under the direction of the Wellness/Rehab Director and in collaboration with the Division Administration, referring Providers, and patient care team. The Speech/Language Pathologist follows the most current LH policy and procedures, Maine State licensing requirements, Scope of Practice, and Reimbursement Rules and Regulations relating to Speech Therapy. Each therapist will have a primary location and be oriented to support other service delivery areas within the LH scope as competency and resources allow.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Master's degree or above, or four to ten years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License/Certifications: Maine license.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
