ResponsibilitiesPosition Objective: The Manager, Pharmacy is an administrative role and is responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, including the management of team members, development and implementation of policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and code of conduct. The incumbent will report to the Director of Pharmacy Services (or similar role) and will be responsible for managing opportunities for professional development within the pharmacy department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department.
- Perform monthly one-to-one meetings with direct team members to discuss individual and overall team performance towards established goals for the department.
- Identify trend opportunities about pharmacy team efficacy and outcome reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the pharmacy department.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of pharmacy staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and improve medication management.
- Monitor and analyze pharmacy services to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay updated with the latest pharmaceutical advancements, medications, and guidelines.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements/Skills:
- A doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
- 5 years (can be combined) of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a portion of that being in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience working with high-performing teams and leading organizational change efforts.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an expedient and decisive manner.
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
- Must be able to lift at least 15lbs at times.
