Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular RN is responsible to ensure patient safety during Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures. The RN maintains communication with the physician and charge/or manager to keep the flow throughout the day and stays abreast of changes to department and industry standards. Responsibilities include filtering information to procedural staff members and being on call with a 30-minute response time. Department Procedures include but are not limited to: Coronary angiogram/angioplasty, Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty, Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair, Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy, Central/Port placement and removal, Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Cardioversion, and Stress Tests.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-year acute care experience; Preferred: Intensive Care Unit, Cath Lab/IR, Emergency Department; Telemetry experience may be considered. Ability to identify and interpret ECG Rhythms, knowledge of vasoactive medications. Current California RN License; Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification. The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, possess a current California RN license, and have at least 1-year acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care Unit, or Emergency Department. Telemetry experience may be considered. Must have full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required; Annual Update, Education assignments; Completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
