Position Summary
Provide high quality office-based Women’s Health care and education to a diverse University student community in accordance with established standards and medical ethics, as well as the policies and procedures of the NYU Student Health Center. Work in a collaborative atmosphere with physicians, other NPs, RNs, and Medical Assistants to assure timely and comprehensive screening, contraception including LARC, and evaluation and treatment of common WH concerns. Strong communication skills, including motivational interviewing, and an interest in quality improvement are expected. Obstetrics not provided on-site.
Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and NYS Nurse Practitioner license in appropriate specialty with prescription privileges.
Required Experience: 4 years' relevant experience in ambulatory setting including 2 years as Nurse Practitioner or an equivalent combination.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must have CPR certification.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Willingness and ability to meet demanding and flexible work schedule.
