Maternal Nurse Reviewer / Contract - Metropolitan Area (#25009)
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Maternal Nurse Reviewer to fill an opening with a Non-profit organization located in New York.
Requirements of the Maternal Nurse Reviewer:
- Must be qualified and actively credentialed/registered in New York State (e.g. Registered Professional Nurse, Pediatric/Family Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant, etc.).
- Must have at least 4 years of clinical practice experience in a facility or community-based setting including medical, surgical, and/or obstetrical experience. Experience in pediatric/adolescent/reproductive health care is preferred.
- At least 2 years of acute care hospital experience is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience reviewing charts for the purpose of quality improvement or utilization review is preferred.
- Knowledgeable of current disease/care management/coordination trends is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and to prioritize reviews and projects to be completed.
- Must have strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to gather and analyze information from records, reports, and other sources.
- Must be proficient in the use of standard office technology and basic Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Must have the ability to travel to on-site review assignments within the metropolitan area (including Westchester and Long Island). Approximately 25 on-site days per year.
Benefits of the Maternal Nurse Reviewer:
- The salary for this position is $50 / hr.

Responsibilities of the Maternal Nurse Reviewer:
- Conduct clinical reviews of medical records from a variety of sources as well as other documents crucial to the reviews, as appropriate.
- Conduct interviews, observations, and reviews of other program documentation as part of comprehensive program monitoring.
- Develop and draft reports in the form(s) required by the Department.
- Track the status of documents and reviews in databases and other shared platforms.
- Provide technical assistance to program personnel, where appropriate.
- Utilize data management tools appropriately to record monitoring findings.
