Laboratory Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise technical and non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts.
- Develop, implement, and monitor new policies and processes.
- Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation, and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data.
- Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume, and revenue variation reports.
- Complete and conduct performance evaluations for all staff under direct supervision after three months of employment and annually.
Qualifications:
Education Required AND/OR Preferred:
- An Associate's Degree in Science or Medical Technology is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience Required OR Preferred:
- 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated success and abilities in leadership, achieving results, communications, customer service, and health care management.
Licensure/Certification:
- FL Supervisor's license.
- Licensure in 3 technical specialties preferred.
- Blood Bank/Immunohematology.
- Chemistry.
- Hematology.
- Histology.
- Microbiology.
- Serology/Immunology.
