Functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Leading ultrasonographer staff.
- Professional development oversight of ultrasonography staff.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a formal training program as an Ultrasound Technologist, Ultrasound Sonographer, Ultrasound Technician, or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
- Three (3) years of Ultrasonographer experience.
- State sonographer licensure, where applicable.
- Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed.
- Sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
