Nucor Steel – Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Laboratory Supervisor. The role of the Laboratory Supervisor includes, but is not limited to:

Establishing a culture of safety awareness, team development, quality production, and continuous improvement.
Leading the maintenance and continuous improvement of the division laboratories.
Ensuring safe, prompt, and accurate testing of our product to ensure it meets our customers’ demands.
Assisting operators and metallurgists in identification and disposition of defective material.
Assisting in claims investigations.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or equivalent engineering degree or equivalent laboratory experience.
3 years of industrial or lab experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with supervising laboratory functions.
Proven track record of problem-solving.
