Hannibal, MO - Perioperative Nurse Manager

MLR Healthcare has partnered with a premier healthcare provider in Western Illinois to find driven nurse leaders ready to advance their careers.

Overview:

Join our committed team in the Surgical Unit, a dynamic 45-bed private room facility. We are looking for a skilled Nurse Manager to lead our dedicated staff and deliver outstanding care to adult patients needing medical and surgical nursing. Our unit specializes in a variety of surgical areas, including orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery, as well as general medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients aged 17 and above in a 45-bed surgical unit.
Administer and monitor patient health in post-operative stages and manage various medical conditions.
Specialize in care for surgical patients in areas such as orthopedics, bariatrics, vascular, neurology, and general surgery.
Address general medical conditions including sepsis, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal issues, skin and wound care, and infections.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including Certified Nursing Assistants, Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Social Workers, and a Unit Secretary.
Work closely with unit-based specialists such as pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and educators.

Qualifications:

Valid RN license.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a medical/surgical unit preferred.
Demonstrated ability in handling a diverse range of surgical and medical conditions.
