ResponsibilitiesFoundations Behavioral Health is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for per diem positions covering day, evening and night shifts (12-hour and 8-hour shifts are available). This position will also work as a School Nurse at the LifeWorks Schools as needed.
Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, The LPN will deliver quality nursing care to children, and adolescents on our inpatient Autism Unit.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conducts ongoing and individualized nursing care duties as assigned and as dictated by the patients condition in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitors for and reports change in patient physical or mental status.
- Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
- Administer patient medications as prescribed by physician.
- Provide education to patients on their prescribed medications, documenting this in the patient record.
- Transcription of medication orders in a timely, error free manner.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN License.
- Two years of psychiatric inpatient experience required.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Strong communication skills, excellent customer service and organization skills.
- Highly effective listening skills.
- Respiratory Fit testing is a requirement of the job.
