Summary: Responsible for nursing care of patients under the supervision of the office manager or physician; assists clinic personnel/patients with clinic functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Six months work experience in a physician's office in a medical support role.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills.
- Verbal and written skills required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of the patients typically served.
- Triage experience, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding; BCLS.
- Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient's needs.
- Visual and auditory acuity for observation of patients.
- Ability to perform much standing, stooping, reaching, walking, bending and lifting.
- Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
- Ability to work under mental and physical stress is necessary.
