Job Responsibilities:
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Client Advisors work closely with industrial facilities across North America to provide technical and regulatory support with safety (OSHA) and environmental compliance. As the point person for a client, advisors complete facility inspections, site assessments, create site-specific safety programs, conduct employee safety and environmental training, and lead safety committee meetings.
Do you enjoy travel? This is the role for you; our advisors service clients both locally (commuting) and out-of-region (traveling), with the average number of overnight stays being 6-8/month. Our excellent corporate team will assist in scheduling employees to earn and keep travel rewards and earn a daily food and beverage per diem and mileage reimbursement.
Primary Functions:
- Provide on-site visits to assigned clients.
- Compliance as a Service (CaaS) model, performing compliance audits, periodic training, and routine facility inspections to identify areas of concern.
- Prepare agendas and follow-up reports to client contacts before and after each visit.
- Develop, write, and edit OSHA-compliant programs providing up-to-date versions to clients utilizing our EHS Gateway platform.
- Direct safety committee and emergency response team (ERT) meetings.
- Perform industrial hygiene surveys and conduct respective testing (air/noise).
- Manage daily activities and tasks through the company’s internal software (MS Dynamics/PSA).
- Research additional regulations and apply them to industrial equipment and operations.
- Support the environmental team with gathering data to perform applicability assessments.
- Complete special projects as assigned including lockout (LO/TO) procedure development, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and DOT/RCRA seminars.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational, safety and health, safety management, risk control, or another related science discipline.
- Previous experience in the development and implementation of safety programs through school, internship, or previous employment.
- Working knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 and other OSHA/safety regulations.
- Interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to assert good judgment.
- Ability to work various hours and travel/commute away from home regularly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Dynamics, Teams).
- Spanish skills are highly valued.
