PIH Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Interventional Radiology 10HR to join our team at PIH Health Downey Hospital. This full-time, mid-career position is integral to our commitment to providing exceptional patient care in the Radiology Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care during interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. Collaborating closely with Radiologists, ordering physicians, and staff nurses, the RN will play a pivotal role in patient care planning and execution. Key responsibilities include managing the universal protocol/time out process, mentoring Radiology Technologists in IV starts for contrast injections, and providing expert placement of PICC lines and midline catheters. The RN will also support the department by conducting patient assessments, managing IV lines, overseeing oxygen care, maintaining crash carts, and applying restraints when necessary. This role requires a compassionate professional with excellent guest relations skills, advanced patient care and assessment abilities, and a strong understanding of the legal aspects of nursing. Required Skills

Required Experience
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current California RN license
- Current BCLS, ACLS certification
- EKG and arrhythmia management skills
- Excellent organizational skills, works independently, good communication skills
- Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- At least 1-year experience in Interventional Radiology procedures (Preferred)
- At least 1-year experience in Critical Care or Emergency Services (Preferred)
- Experience with moderate IV sedation (Preferred)
- Completion of an approved PICC and ultrasound course and experience in PICC placement (Preferred)
