About the hospital
- We are a companion animal practice serving the needs of the northwest side of Indy and the suburbs that surround it (Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Brownsburg, Pike Township, and more!) since we built our practice in 2008. Our lobby is open, spacious, and inviting, and stands two stories high.
- A great deal of our team has been around since we all worked together out of one office just south of our current location prior to 2008. That practice opened its doors in 1957 and has been AAHA-accredited since 1963. When we outgrew that hospital, we split into two separate practices.
- We have six spacious examination rooms—three tailored to our feline patients and three tailored to our canine patients all with direct access to our pharmacy for convenience and ease.
- Open concept layout
- In-house laboratory and state-of-the-art radiology equipment: fully equipped laboratory, integrated CR digital radiography and telemedicine, and electrocardiogram (ECG).
- Highly focused on dentistry and oral health with dental radiology.
- Up-to-date anesthesia and large surgical suite with CO2 surgical laser. We are excited to be adding and learning more about a therapy laser for our patients in 2021.
- We collaborate with Dr. James Naughton, DVM, MS, DACVR a board-certified veterinary radiologist who travels to our office to provide diagnostic ultrasound whenever needed during the week for our patients. We have also recently begun a monthly cardiac consultation and diagnostic ultrasound opportunity for our patients with Dr. Daniel Hogan, DVM, of Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
- Our doctors have a good working relationship with local specialists in the Indianapolis Area, including Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Med Vets Oncology and Specialty Emergency Hospital, VCA Advanced Care Referral Center, as well as the Animal Dermatology Clinic and the Veterinary Allergy and Dermatology Referral Clinic.
- Our doctors have a wide breadth of experience and are very willing to share their knowledge and discuss caseloads. They are happy to assist when asked while encouraging new associates’ independence. We encourage and support the cultivation of doctors’ special veterinary interests.
- We are willing to explore new ideas in medical procedures and pharmacology and have an expansive in-house pharmacy, as well as two local pharmacies available for specialty compounding. We also offer an online pharmacy for those clients who prefer it.
About Indianapolis
Indianapolis and its surrounding suburbs are a wonderful place to live. Indy is widely hailed as the "Racing Capital of the World" because of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indy 500 and Allstate 400 at the Brickyard as well as the "Amateur Sports Capital of America" for hosting the NCAA. Indy, also known as the “Circle City” because of our downtown’s historic Monument Circle, has several attractions outside of sports including museums, (which includes an award-winning Children’s Museum!), a large zoo, 100s of ethnic restaurants, several arts and historic districts, concert venues, and an amazing revitalized downtown and canal district. Several micro-breweries and wineries are appearing all throughout the city and suburbs as well!
If you enjoy sports, Indy is the home of many sports teams! We’ve got the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, the NBA’s Pacers, the WNBA’s Indiana Fever, our minor league baseball team The Indians, soccer’s Indy Eleven as well as our minor league hockey team the Indy Fuel. Indianapolis has several attractions for visitors, with a mix of both a large metropolitan city and a simple Midwestern community. You will find beautiful architecture, monuments, and pristine cornfields in Circle City.
Indy and its surrounding communities are wonderful places for our two-legged and four-legged children! Several of our surrounding cities (Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Noblesville) have made the “Best of” lists for raising families, top-notch schools, parks, communities, etc. amongst all 50 states. Because of our central location, Indianapolis isn’t very far away from other wonderful cities that are worth checking out—like Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati. All three are a quick drive from the Circle City for a weekend getaway or even just a night!
