Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assists (RNFA) at Newton Medical Center. We are seeking per diem candidates (can be a new grad RNFA) who would like to be on-call (can be at home-within 30 minutes of hospital or in on-call room at the hospital-you choose) one weekend per month - 48 hours and flexibility for a weekday shift. Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
- Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
- Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
- Assist with surgical cases including orthopedics and general surgery.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing required
- BSN required
License/Certifications:
- Valid New Jersey Nursing License
- Certificate from an accredited RNFA program required
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- CNOR preferred
Relevant Experience:
- 1 year of previous experience is a plus
- Must be qualified to be credentialed by the Medical Staff Office.
- Ability to scrub/assist in all specialties as assigned.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, push pull and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Must be a Team Player.
