What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Development and creation as well as implementation of planning concepts and projects including the corresponding design specifications or general conditions for the Paint-Shop department.
- Responsible for the process engineering planning of pre-treatment, e-coat, ovens and cabins in Paint Shop production processes.
- Creation of production plans for all work sequences according to the valid time finding procedures.
- Maintain and create an ergonomic and requirement‐oriented work environment in the Paint Shop.
- Planning of equipment as well as determination of material supply / delivery.
- Approval of technical specifications of production equipment and clarification of technical issues with technical contractors as well as suppliers of Paint-Shop equipment.
- Creation of layouts, specifications, time schedules and investment plans, following economic standards.
- Preparation of offers comparative analyses and purchase orders.
- Optimization of series process materials and techniques in terms of quality, costs and process reliability.
- Realization of VFF, PVS, 0-series and production ramp-up to series operation.
- Processing of planning orders, improvement proposals and change requests including ongoing revision.
- Coordination of related departments, R&D and operators with focus on the implementation of suggestions for the product design according to production requirements.
- Assumption of special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder.
- Steering/coordination of external personnel /service providers.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC.

- 3 years of professional experience in Paint Shop Planning.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Initial base salary range = $110,000-$130,000.
