Position Overview: MLR Healthcare is seeking a certified Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in administering radiation therapy treatments while prioritizing patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by oncologists.
- Prepare and position patients accurately for treatment delivery.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Monitor patients for any side effects and provide necessary education and support.
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation to comply with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) and state licensure in Illinois.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
