DeSoto, TX Ultrasound Technologist MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Ultrasound Technologist to join a dedicated team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!
Salary: $61,799 - $85,699 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation: Position and prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Operate Equipment: Effectively operate ultrasound machines to capture high-quality images of internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
- Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Thursday to Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
- Image Review: Assess and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing conditions and shaping treatment plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient histories, procedures, and diagnostic results.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound machines are properly maintained, calibrated, and report any issues promptly.
- Patient Education: Clearly explain the procedure to patients, address any questions or concerns, and provide follow-up instructions as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
- At least 1 year of experience in ultrasound.
- Certified by ARRT or ARDMS.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board-MRT or ARDMS certification.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
