Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday at Winter Park; other days will be working out of the other clinics in East Orlando and Celebration.
The community you’ll be caring for: Pediatric Speech Therapy patients
Location: 1311 Minnesota Ave Suite C Winter Park FL, 32789; will also work out of East Orlando and Celebration clinics.
The role you’ll contribute:
When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen, and renew. We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler, and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians, and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve.
You will evaluate and conduct medically indicated Speech Language pathology treatment programs for patients in our clinic.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Performs evaluations and re-evaluations according to standards and recommended techniques. Establishes speech therapy diagnosis, implements and adapts an individualized treatment plan of care (including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency). Discharges patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
- Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/CI, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group.
- Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, families, and health care professionals within and across care settings and communities.
- Practices principles of professional development and performance by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and may serve as a clinical instructor.
- Regularly participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships with a minimum of 2 contacts per month. Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community as approved by manager or director.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Active Florida license OR provisional license as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence by American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA)
