Hourly Rate: $31.39 per hour
Job Overview:
The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation and other imaging modalities to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. This role involves providing care to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. The technician will work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure high-quality imaging and patient care. Flexibility to work overtime or on-call shifts may be required as needed by the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures using established protocols for patients of all ages.
- Operate radiology equipment, ensuring proper settings and functioning to capture accurate imaging.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Follow safety procedures and radiation protection measures to safeguard patients and staff.
- Document and maintain patient information and imaging results accurately.
- Maintain radiology equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and radiology team to deliver patient care in a timely and efficient manner.
- Be available for overtime or on-call shifts as needed to meet department demands.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR Certified (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire.
- Must be licensed by the State of Texas as a Radiology Technician.
- Certification in CT, MRI, Special Procedures, or Ultrasound is preferred.
