Clinical Nurse Manager - RN - Infant Cardiac ICU - Full Time- Evenings

The Clinical Manager assumes first line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on an assigned shift. Facilitates efficient and cost-effective daily operations of the unit in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures. In collaboration with the Patient Care Director, participates in the establishment of unit short and long term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital's overall strategic goals. Is accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.
The Infant Cardiac ICU is globally the first and only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit dedicated to the care of newborns and young infants with congenital heart disease (CHD) from birth to discharge, pre and postoperatively. Fifty years since creating the APGAR score for newborn evaluation, NYP is among the nation’s best for neonatal care, and a Regional Perinatal Network hub. We care for the tiniest, most critically ill patients - relying on our dedicated nurses' expertise.
This is a Full-time evening position, 12 noon- 11 pm at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
- Pediatric, Infant or Neonatal ICU experience, especially with a focus on Cardiac or CHD care in a Children's Hospital
- Masters in Nursing or related field.
- National Certification
- NRP certification
Required Criteria
- A minimum of two years RN experience
- Clinical expertise within field or specialty
- Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
- BCLS certification

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Salary Range: $130,000-$155,000/Annual
