Requirements
Position Summary
Supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by providing in-suite or in-home infusion therapies, monitoring, and recording results, and works in partnership with physicians and other functions within Barnes Healthcare to facilitate holistic patient care.
Essential Functions
- Models and holds others accountable to the Barnes culture and acts as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
- Provides intravenous infusions, line maintenance, and/or venipuncture care to patients in accordance with the established care plan, while providing best in class service and facilitating whole patient care.
- Places, monitors, and maintains IVs or catheters for the purposes of delivering antibiotics, parenteral nutrition, or other medications or therapeutic treatments as directed.
- Protects the safety of patients and self by adhering to established safeguards, including personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous materials handling, and maintaining situational awareness.
- Completes all applicable documentation promptly and accurately and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Conducts on-site medication reconciliation.
- Educates patients and caregivers on therapeutic goals and interventions and collaborates with other functions to ensure patient and partner needs are fully met.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required
- Current nursing license in good standing required
- ASN/BSN degrees preferred
- Two years of nursing experience preferred
- CRNI certification are desirable

Working Conditions
- Working in an infusion suite or patient home.
- Travel up to 50% possible.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
