Weekend CT Technologists at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist perform quality Diagnostic and Computed Tomography (CT) Procedures and produce quality scan images by effectively utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and employing modern techniques that are age and developmentally appropriate. CT Techs also assist Radiologists and other Staff Physicians with invasive procedures and help manage the flow of patients and processes within the CT department.
Position Highlights:
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour Weekend Day Shifts (Sat. & Sun., 7a-7p+ 1 Weekday (Friday or Monday, 7a-7p)
- Weekend Premium Incentives: Under Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Radiology Weekend Premium Program (BOWS), this position features a full-time weekend schedule and the opportunity to work 69 hours in a bi-weekly pay period, but are paid the same as working for 80 – thanks to extra incentive pay!
- Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements.
- Relocation Assistance: Enjoy up to $3,000 in relocation expenses, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements. Paid within the first 30 days of employment.

What You’ll Need:
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology / CT Scanning Program or Associate’s Degree Required
- Preferred - 6 months of experience as a Diagnostic Rad Tech or CT Tech
- Registered & Certified by ARRT in Radiography and/or CT Specialty (or registry eligible & certified within 1 year of hire)
- Valid CPR Certification – BLS Required
- Good communication skills, both orally and written, to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with the public and internal staff members.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, applications, and job specific precautions to maintain a safe working environment that fosters teamwork.
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Comprehensive Procedures: Performs high-quality CT and diagnostic/interventional procedures, including contrast administration; maintains required education and credentials through completing required competencies & CEs.
- Record Keeping and Education: Maintains precise patient records through data entry, offers instruction and education to healthcare personnel and patients, and provides age-appropriate care.
- Emergency Response and On-Call Coverage: Responds to emergencies and provides on-call coverage outside regular hours as needed.
- Cooperative Work Environment: Promotes teamwork by contributing to service quality through collaborating with colleagues, ensuring equipment readiness, verifies supply availability, and maintains equipment knowledge.
While this position maintains a clean workspace, the work environment may involve exposure to infections, contagious diseases, and bloodborne pathogens. It includes hazards like hazardous substances, radiation, electrical equipment, and odorous chemicals. Employees may also encounter flammable gases, risk injury from equipment, emergency situations, and working long hours with short notice.
