Overview
What You Will Do:
Under general supervision, assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the CV/Cath/EP Lab specializing in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, and EP devices and ablations. With increased experience provides resource and mentoring to new staff while exhibiting enhanced technical skills.
What you Will Need:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a health science program (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics.
- Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Lab experience preferred.
- Allied health professional experience in cardiology preferred.
- RCIS, RCES, or IBHRE certification within 24 months of hire and remains in active status Basic Life Support Certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 6 months of employment.
