Practice Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of multiple clinics, including daily operations involving personnel management and performance, patient throughput, provider relations and scheduling, department budget preparation and the overall management of assigned practice operations with a focus to maximize provider/staff productivity. The Practice Manager will be involved in strategic planning, program development, continuous quality improvement, as well as financial and budget reporting and monitoring.
Responsibilities Include
- Manages the overall operations of the practice in order to ensure that continuous, quality, accurate, timely and cost-effective services are provided.
- Collaborates with providers and managers from other departments to ensure a high-quality patient experience.
- Provides effective leadership and promotes teamwork both internally and externally. Develops goals and performance expectations for staff.
- Establishes and updates policies and procedures in accordance with practice, facility, and system policies and procedures, standard practices of the profession, and related local, state, and federal laws.
- Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.
- Responsible for patient relations and works collaboratively with professional staff and other departments to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic, or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients and/or employees.
- Responsible for the financial management and development of the practice. This includes ensuring proper accounting controls and practices are followed and documented to secure the financial viability of the practice. Maintains a variety of financial and statistical records to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with established regulations and laws.
- Assists in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement and monitoring on an ongoing basis to meet the mission, goals and objectives of the practice and organization.
- Market the practice in local communities and online.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years progressive medical office experience.
- Knowledge of business plans, budgeting and quality improvement process preferred.
This role has a salary range of $50,000-$80,000 and regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO).
