Overnight Mental Health Practitioner - Willow Tree (Full Time)
Willow Tree, a program of Stellher Human Services, is an unlocked facility with 24/7 staffing located in Detroit Lakes. Willow Tree provides crisis stabilization services to adults who are experiencing mental health crisis episodes. Staff monitor safety, teach skills, help clients connect with community resources, and triage phone calls for the Becker County-White Earth Mobile Crisis Team. Currently, there is a need for a full-time practitioner for the overnight shift.
Mental Health Practitioner (MHPR) provides services for the treatment of mental illness and must be under the clinical supervision of a mental health professional. Candidates must be 21 years of age and qualified in at least one of the following ways:
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university AND has at least 2,000 hours of documented supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults with mental illness, OR
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university AND has a documented supervised internship in the delivery of services to adults with mental illness, OR
- Has at least 6,000 hours of documented supervised experience in the delivery of services to adults with mental illness, OR
- Is a graduate student in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and is formally assigned by an accredited college or university to an agency or facility for clinical training, OR
- Holds a master’s or other graduate degree in one of the mental health professional disciplines from an accredited college or university AND has less than 4,000 hours post-master’s experience in the treatment of mental illness.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will provide crisis assessment and stabilization services to recipients in the Willow Tree program. You will assist recipients in developing Individual Treatment Plans to guide the provision of skills training when implementing interventions; educate recipients on mental illness and symptoms; support recipients with learning, practicing, and implementing skills to stabilize mental health symptoms and restore level of functioning.
