Job description:
The Laboratory Supervisor oversees technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
You Will:
- Supervise personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas.
- Manage functional areas of responsibility, which may include technical discipline areas in which the department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing, and specimen referral testing.
- Perform technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
- Achieve department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
- Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
- Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas preferred.
- Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families, and vendors.
- Proficient computer skills, i.e., ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports.
- Medi-tech experience preferred.
