Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
- Assess patient condition during post-operative recovery, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitor response.
- Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of post-surgical patients.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced certifications (i.e. CEN, TNCC, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a minimum of one year acute care hospital PACU or ICU experience.
- Call required - must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is a 126-bed acute hospital. We offer a full range of Emergency, Surgical, and Inpatient and Outpatient services. We have served Sebring, Florida, and the surrounding counties since 1965. We offer advanced technology, attracting the most qualified physicians and surgeons in the area. Our Emergency Room is the area’s only dedicated Senior ER, featuring designated parking and hearing amplifiers. This also offers optical devices, specific discharge planning, and personal scheduling assistance. All patient directives are clear, easing tension. Our Orthopedic Institute provides an upscale environment for joint replacements. Patients are at ease in our facility. The hospital specializes in minimally invasive procedures, resulting in shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery.
