ASL Instructor - Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking applications for an American Sign Language/Interpreting Instructor. This is a nine-month, non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor. Applicants must have an MA degree, or its equivalent, in American Sign Language Instruction or related field and higher education classroom instruction experience. Professional interpreting experience and a state-level or national interpreter certification preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate native to near native proficiency in American Sign Language and have experience developing and maintaining external affiliation agreements.
The successful candidate will teach courses in the American Sign Language Interpreting Minor program on the Oxford, MS campus. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and maintaining affiliation agreements between the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and outside entities that are potential ASL interpreting practicum sites.
