This position is responsible for assisting in providing patient care in addition to ordering, stocking, shipping & receiving, exam room cleaning/stocking and documentation of service and repair of prosthetic devices.
Essential Functions
- Maintain patient medical record, completing all required documentation.
- Obtain and document all pertinent information and necessary measurements required for fabrication process.
- Order, track and receive components and supplies.
- Assist in patient room during fitting processes.
- Instruct patients in the use and care of prostheses, accessories, and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; squat; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach/pull/push with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- One to three years of experience working in a medical office.
- Experience working as a medical/physical therapy assistant preferred.
- Must be able to travel as required.
