River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services.
Fulton County DUI Court-Boulevard, N.E.-Atlanta, Georgia
River Edge Behavioral Health operates at several locations in Fulton County. The mission of the Fulton County DUI Treatment Court is to enhance public safety and promote healthier lifestyles for repeat DUI offenders. The Court combines increased supervision and accountability with effective and intensive treatment, thereby reducing recidivism.
The DUI Treatment Court Program is an interdisciplinary team approach involving the Judge, prosecutor, public defender or private defense attorney, case managers, probation, Marshal's department, program coordinator, and substance abuse treatment professionals. The team partners with the program participants throughout the process to ensure individual needs are met while restoring accountability.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30AM-5PM or 10:00 AM- 7:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities
- Counsel clients in individual and group sessions to help them overcome substance use/dependencies, build recovery/resilience, and adjust to life.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.
- Conduct and update behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, determine appropriate interventions to address individual behaviors.
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
- Complete all documentation in electronic records within 24 hours of the service.
- Attend all program assigned meetings, staff development, team meetings, trainings and stakeholder/community partner meetings as required.
- Attend Recovery Treatment Court for staffing's, hearings, trainings as designated.
- Monitor client access to and involvement with treatment and other providers to help address barriers to treatment and the recovery process.
- Maintain sufficient communication and correspondence via telephone, email and text with agency personnel, stakeholders, and community partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling) or related field.
- Must have Associate License or Fully Licensed in either - LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
- At least one (1) year of postmaster's experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise with the chronically mentally ill population.
- All applicants must pass an intensive background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in mental health and substance abuse services and community resources.
- Exemplify excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Empathy: Demonstrating empathy when counseling clients individually or in groups, helping them navigate their substance use/dependencies, and supporting their recovery journey.
Communication: Effective communication skills are crucial for counseling sessions, progress monitoring, and maintaining communication with colleagues, stakeholders, and community partners.
Counseling: Proficiency in counseling techniques for both individual and group sessions aimed at helping clients overcome substance use/dependencies, build resilience, and adjust to life changes.
Assessment and Treatment Planning: Ability to conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, and determine appropriate interventions based on individual client needs and behaviors.
Documentation: Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate treatment records and reports, including timely completion of electronic documentation within 24 hours of service delivery, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
