Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):
$40.247 - $51.932 - $63.616
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do
Plans and administers assigned respiratory care functions and duties.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - The National Board of Respiratory Care - REQUIRED
- California Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) - Respiratory Care Board of CA - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a related field
- 1 Year Respiratory Care experience
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - PREFERRED
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) - PREFERRED
Essential Functions
- Communication: Communicates patient status, observed changes, and responses to appropriate members of the healthcare team. Consistently updates IPOC/IPER once per shift. Consults other departments as appropriate to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs. Attends patient care rounds.
- Documentation: Proficient in computer systems for data entry charges/credits. Maintains patient records as per department guidelines. Enters patient charges/credits as directed within the specified time frame. Point of care documentation.
- Quality: Adheres to aseptic technique and universal precautions. Considers patient safety, age, cultural, psychosocial, and physical needs of patients and families when providing care. Provides explanations to patients and families prior to administering care and answers questions. Performs and adheres to department established patient care assessment and/or patient-driven protocol. Identifies inappropriate care and follows through with appropriate recommendations. Participates in the orientation of new staff/students.
- Time management: Completes delegated duties within timeframes or reports to the appropriate healthcare team member when unable to complete assignments. Accepts additional assignments willingly. Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing workloads while adhering to all department rules and guidelines of care (e.g., answering pages timely). Demonstrates ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner, including taking breaks/lunch.
