Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a CRNA - Per Diem. In this role, the successful candidate administers anesthesia under the supervision of the Attending Anesthesiologist, administers local, inhalation, intravenous and other anesthetics prescribed during surgery, deliveries or other medical procedures. Institutes resuscitative procedures throughout the hospital, including the recovery room and is available at all times while on duty.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs Complete Pre-Anesthetic Assessment, including significant laboratory data and important aspects of patient history and physical. Establishes good rapport with patients and anticipates needs and possible problems.
- Appropriately Prepares for Case Management by assembling all essential equipment in an orderly manner and ensuring it is ready and in working condition to safely administer anesthesia.
- Appropriately Prepares Anesthetic Management, developing a plan of care based on assessment, interpretation, and anticipated procedure.
- Demonstrates Professional Competence in Managing Anesthetic, including appropriate airway management and recognizing problems to take corrective action.
- Provides Competent Post Anesthetic Management, verifying patient identification and maintaining patient airway while evaluating and resolving patient pain status.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a CRNA-Certified RN Anesthetist license obtained within 18 months of hire, a Masters Degree from a CRNA program, a current NYS RN License, CRNA Certification, ACLS, PALS certification, and a NYS Infection Control Certificate.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $200.00 - $200.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
