A fantastic locum opportunity is available 40 minutes northeast of Columbia, for a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Pediatric Hospitalist coverage.

Dates: October 2024 - December 2024, possibly to March 2025

What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing care for neonates in a Level I/II nursery setting.
- Performing procedures such as resuscitation, CPAP, peripheral IVs, ART sticks, ventilator management, pulmonary surfactant administration, umbilical lines, catheters, etc.
- Managing high-risk deliveries and developing individualized care plans for each infant.
- Taking 24-hour call shifts, with in-house hours from 8 am-5 pm and on-call availability from a nearby hotel.
- Rounding on inpatients, providing pediatric consults for the ER as needed, and managing newborn care.
About You
- MSN, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, with at least 5 years of pediatric experience.
- Must be comfortable with patients 32 weeks and resuscitation, CPAP, peripheral IVs, ART sticks, managing ventilators, administering pulmonary surfactant, umbilical lines, catheters, and other sick baby related procedures.
- SC license, DEA, BLS, PALS.
- Background attending high-risk deliveries and collaborating with remote physicians via Telehealth.
- Available for multiple 24-hour call shifts through March 2025, with flexible holiday coverage.
