Veterinary Technician Supervisor Opportunity!
VCA Ocean County Animal Hospital Group is a 3-location, 13-doctor hospital group seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Certified Veterinary Technicians to join and lead our technician team as Tech Supervisor full time. This individual will support and oversee the Fischer Toms River location and work closely with the leadership team. The ideal candidate will excel medically and have a passion for providing mentorship and guidance with a focus on cultivating a cohesive team.
Our hospitals are proudly AAHA accredited and are constantly working with new medical innovations in order to provide the highest quality care for our patients. We provide full digital x-ray, comprehensive ultrasound, in-house lab, access to boarded specialists, cautery, laparoscopic services, therapeutic cold laser, and exotics medical and surgical treatment to a large client base. In the supervisor role, yourresponsibilities will includebut notbelimited to:
- Directingwork flowon the floor
- Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills.
- Help with the interview process for potential new hires.
- Technician Scheduling
- Assists in staffing and coverage where needed.
- Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training.
- Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience.
- Mentoring technicians within the department
- Working with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the service.
- Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
The salary range for this position is $23 - $29/ hour based on experience and credentials
