Position
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and
knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our team in Haverhill, Massachusetts. As a
Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles and
providing personalized dietary guidance to individuals, groups, and
communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping clients improve
their overall well-being, manage chronic conditions, and achieve their health
goals through evidence-based nutrition interventions.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive nutrition
assessments to evaluate clients' dietary habits, health conditions, and
nutritional needs.
2. Develop customized meal plans and
provide dietary recommendations tailored to clients' specific goals,
preferences, and health requirements.
3. Educate and empower clients on proper
nutrition, portion control, food preparation techniques, and label reading to
support long-term dietary changes.
4. Collaborate with clients to set realistic
and achievable goals and track their progress over time.
5. Stay up to date with the latest
research, guidelines, and trends in nutrition science to ensure evidence-based
practice.
6. Provide counseling and support for
individuals with specialized dietary needs, such as those with diabetes, food
allergies, or digestive disorders.
7. Work closely with healthcare
professionals, including doctors, nurses, and dietitians, to develop integrated
care plans and provide interdisciplinary support.
8. Maintain accurate and confidential
client records, including progress notes, assessments, and follow-up reports.
9. Stay informed about state and federal
regulations governing nutrition practices and ensure compliance with
professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition,
Dietetics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
(RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or
eligibility for registration.
3. Valid state licensure as a
Nutritionist or eligibility to obtain licensure in Massachusetts.
4. Proven experience in conducting
nutrition assessments, developing meal plans, and providing individual and
group counseling.
5. Strong knowledge of human physiology,
biochemistry, and the role of nutrients in health and disease prevention.
6. Familiarity with medical conditions
and dietary restrictions, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, food
allergies, and gastrointestinal disorders.
7. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate clients from diverse
backgrounds.
8. Ability to analyze and interpret
scientific research, nutrition data, and dietary guidelines.
9. Proficient computer skills, including
experience with nutrition analysis software and electronic health record
systems.

Compensation:
· Primary Location: Haverhill, Massachusetts.
40 minutes from Boston and has direct access to the commuter rail.
· Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
· Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
