Epic TravelStaffing is hiring a Travel RN – Medical Surgical – Neuro 48’s
Shift: Nights / 6p-6:30a, 12×4, 48 hours per week, work every other weekend
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- IL License
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Experience with Surgical drains
- Required Work Setting Experience: Med/Surg
- Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management
- Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
- Required Medication Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA
- Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury
- Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management
- Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Teaching Hospital Experience Preferred
- Trauma Level II Experience Preferred
Other Details:
- Will float as needed
- Avg. Daily Census: 32
- Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years’ experience required.
- First-timers accepted: No
- Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
- Certs REQ: BLS and NIHSS required.
- Is on-call REQ? No
- Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed.
- Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
- Pending License accepted: No - must have active IL license to apply.
- RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
- Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.
