Bethel College and Seminary Physician Assistant Program Director - Saint Paul, Minnesota
Job Summary: Bethel University seeks an innovative, experienced leader to serve as the program director of Bethel's Master of Physician Assistant (PA) program. The Program Director is responsible for providing oversight, coordination, and programmatic leadership to ensure the efficient operation of the PA Program. This person must be knowledgeable about and responsible for program organization, administration, fiscal management, continuous review and analysis, planning, and development.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum: Oversee development, review, and revision of the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program. Oversee the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the curriculum.
- Personnel: Manage program faculty, medical director, instructional faculty, and staff hiring, orientation, supervision, and evaluation demonstrating responsiveness to issues related to personnel. Assign instructors to courses. Communicate with Divisional Dean, Associate Provost, and Provost as appropriate.
- Program Development: Assist admission team with marketing, recruitment & admission events. Participate in the selection of applicants for admission to the PA program. Interact with internal and external audiences for program promotion. Clinical site relations & medical community advocacy.
- Student Contact: Maintain teaching load in the program. Participate in the evaluation of student performance and academic counseling of students. Adjudicate student academic and professional issues as needed and assure the availability of remedial instruction.
- Administration: Responsible for program organization and administration including fiscal management, program planning, program development, and calendar development. Complete licensure and credentialing forms and verifications for graduates. Participate in and lead meetings and committees as required.
- Program Accreditation: Oversee program self-assessment process through continuous programmatic review and analysis. Complete ARC-PA required documents and ensure program adherence to the Standards and ARC-PA policies.
- Other required and negotiated program activities.

Experience:
- 3+ years of full-time higher education experience in a PA program or a similar program.
Education:
- Master's degree in PA studies.
- Current or Emeritus NCCPA certification status.
- Must be eligible for licensure as a PA in Minnesota.
Additional Information:
- Work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Local and regional travel is expected.
- Tasks are performed in professional settings and may involve extended periods of time at a table, desk, keyboard, or workstation or driving.
