Responsibilities
Foundations Behavioral Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day (7am – 7:30pm) position to support our Doylestown, PA campus. This position requires an every other weekend commitment.
Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents, and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN will deliver quality nursing care to children and adolescents in our Residential Treatment Facility.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct ongoing and individualized nursing care duties as assigned and as dictated by the patient's condition in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor for and report changes in patient physical or mental status.
- Collaborate with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
- Administer patient medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Provide education to patients on their prescribed medications, documenting this in the patient record.
- Transcribe medication orders in a timely, error-free manner.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN License.
- Two years of psychiatric inpatient experience required.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Strong communication skills, excellent customer service, and organizational skills.
- Highly effective listening skills.
- Respiratory Fit testing is a requirement of the job.
