Description
Functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional who provides clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include leading the ultrasonographer staff as well as professional development oversight of ultrasonography staff.
Qualifications:
- Ultrasound Technologist, Ultrasound Sonographer, Ultrasound Technician, or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer graduate of a formal training program.
- Three (3) years of Ultrasonographer experience.
- State sonographer licensure, where applicable.
- Demonstrated competence in the specialty area(s) to be performed, including sonographer certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
