Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a nuclear medicine specialization.
- State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality images.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to deliver accurate and timely reports on imaging findings.
