Our four behavioral health hospitals in Houston (all affiliated with Universal Health Services) provide a broad continuum of outpatient mental health & substance abuse services for children, adolescents and adults. The outpatient clinics are located in various parts of the city throughout the greater Houston market. Our entire staff is trained in treatment models of social learning and positive reinforcement that promotes positive behaviors. Outpatient programs teach life skills and coping mechanisms intended to enrich patients’ lives.
Outpatient treatment is provided by licensed clinical therapists, nurses, psychiatric technicians and financial counselors. Initial assessments are completely confidential and provided at no charge. All outpatient programs offer free breakfast, lunch and snacks for patients. We also provide transportation to out patients.
About the role:
The Regional Director – Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning for all outpatient facilities in the Houston Market, ensuring the delivery of clinical programs that meet the needs of the facilities, community and each facility’s performance goals and objectives. The Regional Director will work closely with all the Clinical Program Directors of each outpatient facility. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes of budgetary control and management systems for all services offered at all facilities. This position contributes to the facility’s strategic planning objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts while providing guidance to directors at each outpatient facility.
This work location for this position will adopt a flexible hybrid model; a combination of remote and onsite/on campus work will be required.

QualificationsRequirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Healthcare Administration or related field. Master’s Degree – Business, Healthcare Administration or related field highly preferred.
- Experience: 8 – 10 years’ experience in business healthcare management required. Leadership experience in psychiatric or behavioral health field preferred.
- Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation agencies’ regulations
- Must possess demonstrated superior leadership abilities and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of patient rights standards
- Strategic planning skills; record of adherence to deadlines.
- Knowledge of all applicable regulatory and state laws regulating mental health care facilities
- Willingness to travel to Houston area facilities, including overnight travel as required.
- Prefer knowledge of the Houston metro area behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources.
- Prefer knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles and age-specific programming and practices.
