School Psychologist
Full-Time Position
Salary Range: $65,499-$88,236
Summary:
A School Psychologist is sought to join the educational team, focused on addressing the psychological and educational needs of students to maximize their academic and social-emotional development. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, providing consultation services, and offering short-term counseling to support students and the educational community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of students' psychological and educational needs, involving the collection of various histories, test administration and interpretation, and collaboration with parents and school personnel.
- Monitor and arrange for out-of-district placements for exceptional students as required.
- Implement district policies and guidelines relating to special education and maintain confidentiality.
- Represent the district in meetings regarding psychological services and services for exceptional children.
- Offer consultation services to school personnel and community members to support student success.
- Provide short-term counseling focused on students' learning and social-emotional adjustments.
- Participate in the evaluation of special education staff and contribute to extracurricular assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and skills in educational psychology.
Education and/or Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field, with extensive experience in educational settings, is required.
- Certification as an Arizona School Psychologist/Teacher is necessary.
Skills:
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents, along with effective report writing and presentation skills.
- Mathematical skills for handling data analysis and interpretation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to interpret a wide range of instructions.
