Registered Nurse – OB/GYN
Reporting to the Site Administrator/Nurse Manager/Senior Leadership, the Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and critical success factors of Women's Health OBGYN.
Responsibilities:
- Committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of care to Women's Health OBGYN patient population.
- Participate in performance improvement/research activities, maintain professional practice standards, clinical expertise, and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Responsible for the coordination of ancillary clinical support associates (LPN/PCT).
- Ensure TJC sweeps are performed routinely and oversee HLD/Sterilization completion by PCT/LPN associates.
- Systematically assess the health care of patients/families and responses to care rendered.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills to problem-solve and initiate clinical decision-making.
- Develop, coordinate, and provide direct care for specific patient assignments reflective of current and changing status of the patient.
Qualifications:
- New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration of valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN.
- BSN Degree.
- Additional education required by specialty areas.
- Effective English communication skills, both written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health.
