Position Highlights:

Residency Program:
Our New Grad Residency Program is a 12-month program that supports newly licensed registered nurses (RNs) as they make their initial transition to practice in one of our five medical centers. The program includes a comprehensive, evidence-based clinical orientation and a nursing professional development transition to practice curriculum. The program's framework is designed as follows:
- Over the course of the first three months, you'll have the opportunity to integrate both theory and skills by engaging in live specialty-track clinical academies.
- Continuing from months 3 to 12, you'll be actively participating in a series of education-rich, monthly transition-to-practice nursing professional development workshops.
- Throughout this program, you will have the chance to establish strong and cohesive relationships with fellow participants in your assigned cohort.
- As an integral part of your journey, you'll engage in insightful clinical discussions and interactive experiences facilitated by subject matter experts.
- To provide you with personalized guidance and support, the Nurse Residency Program Coordinator will offer individualized mentoring.

What You’ll Need:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care, Adult ED.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire for Network ED, Peds ED, PICU and NICU.
- Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
What You’ll Do:
You will provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.
In addition to participating in the Nurse Residency Program, your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
