DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a community hospital that cares for a highly diverse population in the Boston metro-north region. As a member of our Medical Specialty team, you will help us care for patients in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine. This includes consults and procedures at our two acute care hospitals and ambulatory care at our three medical specialty clinics.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. They demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and directly reports to a designated nurse manager and/or clinical manager/off shift manager.
Newly hired, experienced RNs interested in committing to a minimum of two years of employment at Cambridge Health Alliance may be eligible to receive a sign-on or retention bonus of $10,000. Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education/Training: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensure: MA RN Licensure required. Certifications: Maintains current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS.
- Work Experience: Current experience working as an RN in an ambulatory setting required. Infusion room experience required. IV experience preferred. Chemotherapy certification preferred.
- Linguistic Capabilities: Ability to speak a second language preferred.
