Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Odessa, DE. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop effective communication skills, supporting their academic success and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' progress.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
